If you are worried about hurting your books, you can also do this with velcro. To do this, you simply put velcro between the back cover and the last page. This works just as well and protects the book.

The look of natural stacked stone or bricks is a great aesthetic, but it is expensive to have installed, it takes a few days, and you have to have a specialist help you to put together.

Enter stone veneer.

It looks like natural stone or bricks but it comes in one-inch-thick panels and only weighs one pound per square foot – compared to the eight to 12 pounds per square foot that natural stone weighs. This is also DIY-friendly and you can install it in a weekend.

There are quite a few fun projects you can do with stone veneer in your home’s interior. A brick accent wall can make a great impression on a wall that otherwise might not be interesting. The first is to prop the ladder against the wall and you can fold blankets to hang off of the rungs; you can also hang baskets off the rungs to better hold things. The other way you can use it as hanging space is the hang the ladder from the ceiling; this now gives you more closet space for clothes.
