First Heritage Mortgage Named a Fastest-Growing Company in 2021 by the Washington Business Journal

FHM ranked 14th on the list of 75 fast-growing companies in Greater Washington.

FAIRFAX, Va. — First Heritage Mortgage, LLC is pleased to announce it ranked 14th on the Fastest Growing Companies List for 2021 by the Washington Business Journal. This annual list includes 75 companies in the Greater Washington area that are locally headquartered and privately owned, who have achieved the highest average revenue growth between 2018 and 2020. First Heritage Mortgage has an average growth rate of 93.5%.

“We are extremely proud to be included on this year’s list of fastest-growing companies in Greater Washington,” said Alex Wish, CEO of First Heritage Mortgage. “We couldn’t have reached this growth without our dedicated employees who have worked hard to make it happen, especially in light of the challenges brought on by the pandemic, as well as our clients who have trusted us to help them buy their homes.”

The program’s sponsor-judges, led by Richmond, Virginia-based national accounting firm Cherry Bekaert LLP, helped fact-check each finalist’s numbers by meeting with the companies to review their financials for the past two years.

“This exciting recognition comes at the same time we’re celebrating the 25th anniversary of our company,” said Banks Gatchel, President of First Heritage Mortgage. “It’s amazing to see how much we’ve achieved, not only over the past year but since our small beginnings many years ago. I’m proud of our team and can’t wait to see how our recent growth and momentum will propel us to achieve even greater accomplishments in the future.”

The ranking order was announced at an in-person awards ceremony held on Oct. 14, 2021, at The Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner, Virginia.
