As Sergeant Major in the U.S. Army, my first thought was to start the mortgage process with a bank that I had previously used, and is well known for working with the military. Thank God I did not! My experience with First Heritage was far superior than my previous mortgage experiences with military friendly banks. Everything is streamlined, and First Heritage makes you feel like you are their only customer. I could reach my loan officer around the clock and he even would respond to text messages after office hours when I needed additional information. I was completely blown away by the professionalism and attentiveness of everyone who facilitated the loan process. I never felt like I was in the dark or like my file was being neglected. First Heritage puts people first and the customer service that I received was simply amazing!!

I gave Whitney the highest possible marks in all phases, not to be nice, but because she earned them. She led us through what I considered to be a MAZE of requirements, questions that baffled me, and some that out right frustrated me from the Underwriters. She was patient and thoroughly understood and was empathetic to my frustrations and feelings. Would I recommend her, you bet, to VA or any other home loan seekers. If we ever for whatever reasons go through this process again, she will be the first person we contact.

Scott Kinne and his team at First Heritage Mortgage are top-notch. From pre-approval to closing day, they made the transaction of purchasing our first home so seamless. We used the VA loan and Scott never made us feel inferior or steered us away from this. He offered many different loan options and scenarios and was always clear on the closing costs and monthly mortgage payments. His team clearly communicated about documents needed and where we were in the loan process. He also advocated for us, which was a huge asset for us when we put in an offer on a home. He called the listing agent right after we submitted our offer and reassured her that our finances were solid and that we would get approved for the offer amount. When interest amounts were rising, he called us right away to make sure we locked in a rate. In addition, when the VA appraiser took longer than 10 days to upload the appraisal, Scott was on top of it and made sure that the appraisal was uploaded in time for closing. Between the appraisal and closing, he had one day to underwrite the loan and he did it! Wow. We could not have asked for a better experience in purchasing our first home and we highly recommend Scott Kinne and his team at First Heritage Mortgage

Our loan officer, David J. Bridges, and the entire First Heritage team provided unparalleled support and expertise. We initially were looking at purchasing a property using our VA benefits through USAA, but the transaction fell through due to VA inspections. We were unhappy with the customer support and timeliness of responses provided by USAA and decided to consider other options. We were referred to First Heritage from other satisfied veterans; and honestly we felt like David and his team wanted to help us buy a house, opposed to sell us a loan. This was evident from the beginning and consistent throughout the process. David J. was professional, honest and patient, as I had numerous questions at all hours of the day. In the end, I highly recommend David J. and the First Heritage team!

Being first time home-buyers, we were a little nervous about the whole purchasing process. David put those concerns at ease by walking us through the process and keeping us informed of everything along the way. We had great service and communication the whole time and I never had a question that went unanswered! David also got us a great rate by beating every other competitor. Incredibly military friendly, I will definitely be recommending David to everyone I know with mortgage needs!
